A little lesson for those of you who have never heard about Velvet. For well over 15 years, we offered a friendly little club night in West Hollywood called Velvet at Club 7969 (Peanuts). The club started out in the early nineties as a west coast extension of Disco 2000 from New York City (the club made famous by Michael Alig and the Party Monster movie). The night was all about krazy Club Kids, super hawt Topless Go Go Girls, and Cheezy Party Music. You would hear anything from Abba & No Doubt to Joan Jett & the Cure, and of course we would throw in a few of the current favorites at the time like Nine Inch Nails, Britney Spears, & Daft Punk. It was a cheezy mix of Seventies, New Wave, Alternative, Glam, Industrial, Rock & Roll, & Pop. It was crazy packed, and it went off beyond belief... There was nothing like it. Now it's back every Sunday night at Bordello... VELVET is back this Sunday August 1stth at Bordello. If you've never been before, it's kind of like a smaller more intimate version of Clockwork Orange & Blue Mondays with a heaping helping of BOOBS added to the mix. This week we have FREE ADMISSION and DOLLAR DRINKS both before 11pm.
